East Yorkshire District Association organises talks for members covering a wide variety of subjects of interest to the vegetable grower, exhibitor and general gardener. Meetings are held at The Conservative Club, Wylies Road, Beverley, HU17 7AP which is situated nearly opposite the North Bar gate. The Club has its own car park, accessible through a dropdown barrier on payment of a small fee which can be redeemed in full at the bar.
Meetings are normally held on the last Monday of each month commencing promptly at 7.30pm and finishing at around 10.00pm. Meetings usually include a light buffet which is taken midway through the evening and drinks may be purchased from the Club bar. The comfort break also enables the raffle to be drawn and any other newsworthy items to be communicated to members.
We organise visits to members' allotments and gardens and outings to commercial nurseries and other external sites of particular interest, especially during the summer months.
We also issue our members with a newsletter and organise our own Vegetable Show (see EYDA Show Results 2016).
Non-members are welcome to attend any of our functions and are encouraged to join the National Vegetable Society by clicking on this link www.nvsuk.org.uk
